Demography
There are very few Jewish residents in Antigua and Barbuda.
History
The first Jews to arrive in Antigua were Sephardi merchants and traders from the Iberian Peninsula, in the late 17th century. They travelled between the Caribbean islands.
In 1694, new laws prevented Jews from being traders, and although this was repealed in 1701, most had left for North America.
Community Life
Chabad
A number of Jews have homes on the island of Antigua but there does not appear to be any organised Jewish life there.
