The CJC Biennial Conference was held in London 26-29 October 2003. The theme was: Anti Zionism / Anti Semitism -A Commonwealth Perspective. Representatives from over 20 Jewish communities throughout the Commonwealth attended the Conference, which also formed part of the CJCs 21st Anniversary celebrations.

The topics discussed and debated included: media portrayal of Israel; concerns of Jewish students on campus; the link between anti Zionism and anti Semitism; security issues in the Jewish community; Middle East in Flux.

Government Minister, Baroness Symons was guest of honour at our reception at Marlborough House, headquarters of the Commonwealth. Guests of honour at our reception at No. 11 Downing Street were: Rt Hon. Paul Boateng MP, Chief Secretary to the Treasury; and Cherie Blair, QC, wife of the British Prime Minister.

ROYAL RECEPTION
The final reception took place at St James's Palace with guests of honour: HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. They were greeted by Lord Janner and by Henry Grunwald, QC, President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Many guests were presented to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and it was an amazing occasion and the highlight of the Conference.
