Gap Year Programme

We have a variety of programmes available for anyone wishing to take between 2 months and 1 year off from their studies.

Fancy spending 5 months on a leadership course? Both Machon and Megamot are programmes based in Israel, providing you with an informal education of Israel, its history and its culture, whilst giving you the most memorable 5 months of your life. Although Jerusalem is the focal point of the programme, particpants travel the country, exploring and learning as they go.

Other programmes that are available:
  • Kibbutz Ulpan - learn Ivrit whilst living on a kibbutz.
  • Magen David Adom - If you already have a basic knowledge of Hebrew and would like to spend 6-8 weeks working with the Israeli Ambulance Service, consider the MDA Ambulance Volunteer Program.

If that does not take your fancy, how about spending 3 months in India, South Africa or Canada? We can organise a placement in a Commonwealth country, where you will work within the Jewish community. This will give you a wonderful opportunity to live in and explore another country, whilst on your gap year.

You can combine these two programmes, spending time in Israel on a specialised programmes and then working in a community within the Commonwealth.
